the snozberries taste like snozberries
people who are complaining that the new charlie and the chocolate factory is "too dark" ... obviously don't remember the original. and certainly didn't read the book. i mean, do you not remember the story of the oompa-loompas? they lived in a land filled with enormous carnivores and were always getting gobbled up? and that wonka "rescued" them and brought them to his factory so they would "be safe" (where "be safe" is code for "become indentured servants")? 'member that? and what about when wonka GOES OFF the deep end, shouting at the children, his face turning blood red with that vein popping out in his forehead?! 'member that? and that's all outside the obvious messages that naughty children will get drowned in a river of chocolate, sucked down a garbage chute into the burning furnace, shrunk down to 1/10 original size then placed on a taffy puller ... i could go on. but you're bored already. anyway, if you're one of those sickos (like myself) that like the dark aspects ... then you should definitely read the book. that roald dahl is one cracked up mutha. oh how i love him.
