just got back from tulsa yesterday. went for k's wedding. it was really beautiful. i swear she looked like an ad from a bridal magazine. and a little bit like an action figure. seriously. she's been working out, apparently like a madwoman, and i'm fairly certain that she could kick my ass. with one arm tied behind her ripped back. be-yotch. anyway, the wedding was beautiful, and the reception was really swanky and fun. it was an afternoon reception, so it was hard to get the partying and dancing started. that is, until they played "jessie's girl" and then we were all over it like white on rice. if anyone from the party is reading this, we collectively apologize if we offended you with our poor but extremely humorous renditions of the snake, the roger rabbit, the running man or dani's pseudo-break dancing. come on, what else do you do when the dj plays 'beat it'? that's what i thought. anyway, there was, to my knowledge, only one incident of vomiting (and no, it wasn't me, thankyouverymuch), and the story is just to funny not to share. because, and i'm not kidding, it happened on friday BEFORE the rehearsal dinner. i mean, she wasn't even drunk! to protect the innocent, we'll call the involved parties Jenny and Dee. ahem. anyway, they're sitting in the car in the parking lot at the church, getting ready to head into the rehearsal. jenny asks dee if she would like a vicki mint (extra strong, extra long), and then jenny did something crazy and they start giggling like school girls. so dee is laughing and coughing and trying to catch her breath and she says, 'i think i'm gonna be sick' and jenny's thinking she's just saying that you know how people do when they laugh to hard. until dee actually gets out of the car and walks over to the bushes and honks. repeatedly. while she's laughing. then she just tidies up with a few antibacterial wipes and goes on in to rehearse her part in the wedding ... that's so tough.
