went to indian buffet the other day with our super-cool friend andre. as andre and jerm are making small talk about the jfk assassination, the manned lunar landing hoax and other conspiracy theories, magnolia is looking around the restaurant checking out the decor. she sees a photo hanging near the cash register. it shows a distinguished-looking indian man with a bright red turban and a snowy white flowing beard. she starts pointing and jabbering at the picture. she's at the age where no one but her parents know what in the heck she's saying. and that's probably best since she was pointing at aforementioned indian gentleman and saying "shhh-ha" which in magnolia-monkey-jabber means "Santa." and yes, we do eat indian food like three times a week.
