opolis
i had a lovely lunch today. work was all crazy this morning so i couldn't get away to eat at home with the fam before nap time, so i was on my own. i could have eaten at the cafeteria here ... but ... um ... no. why pass up the opportunity to sit quietly in a nice restaurant and actually peacefully enjoy a meal? also, i happened to bring a book so as to be prepared for just such an eventuality.

so i went to opolis. if you're a norman local, and you haven't checked out opolis yet, you should be ashamed. it is just what norman has been deseperately lacking. in fact, if they'd had opolis when shabbydee was here, he might have had a tougher time leaving. anyway, the coffee is truly fabulous. the only, imo, great non-global-force-overtaking-the-world-chain-who-shall-remain-nameless latte in town. and the food ... it's all vegetarian, fresh ingredients, nice presentation, friendly bohemian atmostphere. (even though i hate the over-use of that word, it seems to fit.)

anyway, the entire point of this entry this to encourage you to give it a try. the link will take you to some information about opolis, all related to their music-venue aspect, but at the top of the page, they do list the hours. so quit eating carcass at the damned chains, people!
