ever notice how the people that work at hot topic are really, really, really nice? even when (like me) you don't remotely look like you should be shopping there. i really dig that. that's the way life should be. they didn't care that i didn't have any (visible) piercings, or that i pretty much look like soccer mom. a pregnant soccer mom.

this really cute goth girl tried to get me to upgrade the mary janes i was currently wearing to a pair with skulls and crossbones on the buckles. she damn near succeeded, too. i wondered if those shoes would make me a cooler mom.

also, when i was there, i was seized by a fervent desire to get my little neice a t-shirt for her 13th bday that said 'are you staring at my tits?' but i was afraid her dad would kick my ass.
