this dude is freaking nascar CUH-RAY-ZEE. to complete the picture, he is missing several of his front teeth.

now, normally, dotti would never make fun of someone just for liking nascar and losing teeth. these are a) matters of personal taste and b) sometimes unctrollable. (i often choose whether or not to make fun of someone based on whether they would choose the oddity or not. i.e. "do you really think he would CHOOSE to have no teeth?" well, of course he wouldn't choose that. therefore, it's not nice to make fun of it. same thing applies to physical features like big noses or something. accident of genetics.)

HOWEVER

i DO choose to make fun of people, with or without humorous accidents of genetics, when they ALSO act like assholes.

nascar dude is case in point.

since last tuesday he has told me

1) how much his house cost him

2) how much his brand new truck and trailer cost him

3) how much his boat cost him ("it's a GORGEOUS boat! a 36' footer! they don't have fancy boats like mine around these parts! you've never SEEN a boat this nice!")

4) that he never listens to a word his wife says

5) that he gives his wife an allowance so she "don't spend all MY money"

6) that i haven't LIVED until i've been to "the races"

i sweartogod the next time he tells me how much something costs i'm gonna tell him to start spending his freaking money on some DENTAL WORK, dude.

or at least some toothpaste. crikey. anyway, when he's not telling how much money he spends or how stupid his wife is, he's telling me about nascar. and he can't believe that i don't care.
