things that happened last night at the painted desert:

waiter told me i suck at tetris.
which i don't. mostly.

beamed T a naughty palm OS program. PalmaSutra. it will now most certainly be discovered by her six-year-old, for whom the palm doubles as a gameboy. which means said six-year-old's father will have even more reason for thinking i'm a terrible influence on said six-year-old.
which is true. mostly.

got dared by waiter and bartender to rub a lime on my eyeball for six dollars. six dollars? come on! i'm not in college anymore!!
i said no.
once it got up to thirty dollars i thought a little longer before i said no.

waiter spilled an entire glass of ice water on me and was so suave that he managed to make me feel bad about it.

got dared to snort a packet of sugar for ten dollars.
i said no.

when asking for a funky drink, was told by the waiter, "i've got good news and bad news. the good news is, we have that. the bad news is, your leg's still wet."

reminisced about the first time we met at the painted d. when this really scary looking (she was quite manish, but that wasn't the whole problem. in fact, i don't know that i go into it in this forum.) chick came in and stripped for the bartender who looked truly horrified and not remotely aroused. turns out they had gone to high school together. how awkward.

got dared to snort an ashtray full of ashes for twenty dollars. i said no. also told them that they should save these bets for the week before payday.

standing out front saying goodbye to the girls, i hear an unfamiliar voice shout, "DOROTHY!" well, my mom isn't here so who the hell could that be? the waiter. i left my bank card at the restaurant. a magnificent end to a magnificent evening, although it might not sound like one to anyone else.:)
