tenacious d meets the brady bunch
tenacious d meets the brady bunch

man, that fu has some nerve! anyhow, i had a good time at tenacious d. they were really funny and extremely disgusting. a pretty good combo. it was weird, though, there were a bunch of guys there who didn't even watch the show. it was like they paid $28 just to show up and hit on chicks. i mean, don't they know they can do that for free at a bar?

btw, if anyone out there has tried to email me and hasn't heard a word back from me ... something weird is going on with ye olde email accounte. not sure what, but i saw an old friend from high school who thought i was dissing him cause he emailed me like twice and i ignored him. but really, i didn't get the messages! what's a girl to do? i mean who in her right mind would ignore someone who invited her to come hear him play the bagpipes? seriously, that's way too good to pass up!

but i got to see all kinds of cool people this weekend. i ran into a bunch of former students at tenacious d. that was cool. there is this one really cool chick named kelly who tries to be all goth on the outside, but she's totally strawberry shortcake on the inside. :) she's going to E3 and is going to make t-shirts that say 'will suck dick for sega.' atta girl.

then saturday was joc's 30th birthday party. for which she chose a brady bunch theme. her parties always have themes. and you always have to dress up. i sat in front of nick-at-night for a couple of days trying to find a single brunette on the show, but no luck. i finally had to consult the oracle that is julie. she wracked her frighteningly extensive mental BB storehouse. she could only come up with some girl who drew a mean picture of the teacher and left it in marcia's desk to get her in trouble, but then they ended up becoming friends. so that's who i was. mischevious brunette girl. complete with pigtails (for which i needed my husband's assistance, since, i determined, i hadn't managed that hairstyle for 20 years!!), bell bottom cords and a very large-collared shirt. julie was cousin oliver. it was brilliant! but the stars of the evening (pictures will be available soon) were russ and tara. they cross-dressed as sam and alice. they are my heros. especially russ, who wore hose. what a man. oh yeah, jeremy came as davy jones. which was great except that i had to teach him that, "gullll, luk what you've dun to may" song. i think while i was into brady bunch he was still watching cartoons.
